Stocks start week with positive tone
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Wall Street is rising on Monday while European markets finished higher as investors await Draghi’s speech at the European Parliament.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 rose 0.83% while the Dax gained 1.21% and the Cac 40 0.78%. The global european index, Stoxx 600 was up 0.92%. In the US, the Dow Jones was rising 0.70%, above 17,000 while the S&P 500 was gaining 0.48%.
In the fx market the US dollar was among the best performers during the day after gaining momentum during the American session. Gold is having the worst day in months and was holding slightly above $1,300 down more than 2%. Crude oil was also falling, but a modest 0.14% trading at $100.60 a barrel.
