S&P and Nasdaq stopped a 6-day winning streak
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street closed Wednesday with losses as investors' confidence was hurt by a mix set of corporate earnings as well as weaker than expected US housing data in March.
The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 stopped a 6-day winning streak specially dragged by tech companies.
The Dow Jones declined 12.72 points or 0.08% to finish the day at 16,501.65; the S&P 500 lost 4.16 pts or 0.22% to close at 1,875.39; while the Nasdaq eased 34.49 pts or 0.83% to 4,126.97.
After hours, Facebook, E*Trade and Qualcomm posted better than expected earnings.
