German Govt Spokesman: A solution to the Irish border/backstop must be found quickly

German government spokesman, Steffen Seibert, said on Monday that Brexit negotiations will be continued beyond this week's summit.

He noted that the cabinet committee on Brexit will deal with the status of Brexit negotiations on Wednesday and on the status of German preparations for Brexit.
