Aussie voters beginning to warm up to new Prime Minister - Reuters

As reported by Reuters, results from a critically-watched poll in Australia is showing that the voting public is beginning to take a warmer stance on Australia's new Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, who replaced the country's Malcolm Turnbull in a party coup last August.

Despite the positive reading for Morrison, the ruling Liberal-National coalition party is shown to still be trailing the widely-popular Labour party, 47% to 53%, and polling results may be indicating that Labour's lead could be widening.

A Labour win in May, when Australia will be undergoing their next national election, would represent a massive swing in the country's parliament, where Morrison's coalition is barely hanging onto a one-seat majority. 

This Saturday sees a by-election within key Australian ridings, and a loss for the Liberal-National coalition would see the ruling coalition forced to strike deals with independent lawmakers in order to hold onto a minority government, a situation that would drastically impede the coalition's ability to enact their desired motions.
