UK: Annual CPI rises 1.6% in March, as expected

According to data released today by National Statistics, UK annual inflation rose 1.6% in March, following 1.7% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis CPI edged up 0.2% in March, down from 0.5% in February, as expected.

Germany: ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment deteriorates further in April

The German ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment declined 43.2 points in April, from 46.6 points in March, the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung reported today. Market consensus pointed to a decrease to 45 points.
