USD/CNY fix projection: 6.8493 - Nomura

Analysts at Nomura offered their model's projection of today's fix in USD/CNY as the Chinese return from a long weekend and respond to the new tariffs.

"Model projection: 6.8493 versus 6.8357 previous (136 pips higher; 103 pips higher from the previous official spot close). Model projection with counter-cyclical factor: 6.8428 (71 pips higher from previous fix)."
