NZD/USD rises to test 0.8680

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD rose further on European hours and climbed to 0.8680 reaching the strongest level in a week. Afterwards pulled back finding support at 0.8645 from where rebounded and rose back approaching daily highs after Wall Street opening.

NZD/USD eyeing multi-year highs

The Kiwi is about to post the third daily gain in a row against the US dollar and has approached 2014 highs. At the beginning of April the NZD/USD peaked at 0.8700, a 32-month high.

To the upside the pair could face a strong resistance between 0.8680 and 0.8700. If it breaks above, the next resistance could be located at 0.8730 and 0.8765. To the downside support lies at 0.8640/45 (current session low) and 0.8610.

USD/CAD: The tide is slowly turning – UBS

According to the UBS analyst team, the CAD is likely to benefiting from Canadian data as weather related weakness is slowly fading.
