Germany's Seehofer: Migrant row with Merkel can be overcome

Germany's Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said on Sunday that the migrant row between Bavarians and Chancellor Angela Merkel is serious but can be overcome, according to Reuters News.

Bavaria's Christian Social Union (CSU) is set to decide today whether to start implementing a plan drawn up by Seehofer to reject migrants who have already registered in other EU member states.

Also, reports are doing the rounds that CSU will give Merkel two weeks, until an EU summit on June 28-29, to deliver a European solution on migrant policy before defying her by implementing Seeohofer's plans.

If both parties fail to reach a common ground, then Merkel's three-month-old coalition government could fall apart.
