Drop in Japanese household spending could be due to temporary factors: Govt official: Reuters

Japanese household spending suffered its biggest drop in February in nearly a year, suggesting the pick-up in consumption is stalling. 

However, Japanese government official believes the drop in the household spending may be due to temporary factors like snow, cold weather. That said, the drop in real wages indicates the consumption will likely stay weak irrespective of weather conditions in Japan.
