EU's Tusk: economic data signals Europe is on the right track

The European Council President Donald Tusk, while talking to business leaders in Brussels this Thursday, was noted saying that the EU economy is expanding strongly and the incoming data signals that Europe is on the right track. 

Tusk also touched upon the Brexit issue and said: 

   •  Confident that all elements of draft proposal will be accepted
   •  Could be hard border in Ireland due to UK rejection of customs union
   •  Will ask in London today if UK has better idea for Ireland
   •  Can be no frictionless trade outside customs union and single market
   •  Friction in trade is inevitable result of leaving single market for UK
