Briefing the media on the possible government shutdown in a press conference, the US Senate majority leader McConnel said that he was panning the idea of an “incredibly short extension” of government funding that Democrat Schumer suggested as a possibility. McConnel further added that they were looking to pass a funding bill until February 16.
