UK and EU look to reach an agreement on Brexit in early December - FT
According to a recent article published in The Financial Times, both the EU and the UK Brexit negotiators are aiming to strike a deal in the week of December 4 as they see the Britain’s parliament debate on that day as an opportunity to solve the Irish border issue ahead of the December 14-15 EU summit. However, some EU diplomats warn that political miscalculations over the hardest remaining issues could easily derail plans, the article points out.
In the meantime, citing an EU executive, Reuters recently reported that British Prime Minister Theresa May will be meeting European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and his chief Brexit negotiator in Brussels on Monday, December 4.
