Germany: ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment falls in January against forecasts

The German ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment dropped slightly to 61.7 points in January, from 62.0 points in December, the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung reported today. Market consensus pointed to a rise to 64.0 points.

Decent demand at Spanish debt auction

The Spanish Tesoro Público held a debt auction on Tuesday during which it sold a total of 3.96 billion euros worth of 6- and 12- month Letras, approaching the maximum target of 4 billion euros.
