New Zealand 4Q Consumer Price Index (QoQ) declines to 0.1% vs 0.9%

New Zealand CPI reinforces RBNZ rate hike in Q1

NZ CPI figures (QoQ) came at +0.1% vs -0.1% expected and +0.9% last, while yearly reading stood at +1.6% vs +1.5% expected and +1.4% last. The figures continue to put greater odds of a RBNZ rate hike in the first quarter of 2014.
