US: Housing starts fall 9.8% in December

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - US housing starts dropped 9.8% in December to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 999,000 million, pulling back after a surge in November, according to data provided by the Commerce Department. This reading however, exceeds the 0.990 million expected by analysts.

Meanwhile, building permits fell fell 3% in December to an annual rate of 986,000 million.
