Fed closer to clinch its goals – Fed’s S.Fischer

Stanley Fischer, Vice-Chairman of the Federal Reserve, said the Fed is closer to achieve its goals in employment and inflation, while he emphasized the solid case for removing accommodation on a gradual fashion.

Fischer also added that a gradual tightening by the Fed is necessary to ease spillovers.

He noticed that the drag on the economy coming from a stronger buck could be decreasing.
