Wall Street higher on Clinton leading the presedential debate

Wall Street finished the day on a firmer note reacting to the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and a number of stronger-than-expected economic reports.

The most impressive performance came from the Dow Jones Industrial Average that finished with gains of 133.47 points, or 0.7%, at 18,228.30 while the  S&P 500 index  climbed 13.83 points, or 0.7%, to finish at 2,159.93 with utilities, down 1.3%, and energy shares that fell 0.5%, dragging with lower oil. The Nasdaq Composite Index finished up 48.22 points, or 0.9%, at 5,305.71. Wall Street is higher with investors trading on the prospect of Clinton winning the presidential race, leading in yesterday's debate over the unpredictable Trump who is seen as a risk to financial markets.
