U.S. stocks closed all time highs, again
U.S. stocks closed higher yet again making new all-time highs this Wednesday on Wall Street.
The Dow was closing at its highest level for a seventh day in a row with better-than-expected earnings that lifted the mood again in the US markets. Microsoft was the biggest gainer. The S&P 500 also finished higher while technology shares has their best day in 16 years. The S&P 500 index traded within a 12-point range Wednesday and closed up 9.24 points, or 0.4%, at 2,173.02,Meanwhile,the Nasdaq also had its highest close for the year, assisted by a 2 percent gain in biotech. Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 53.56 points, or 1.1%, to close at 5,089.93, trading within a 44-point range following a big open.
By managing the uncertainty in the markets very well, on the banking sector, the results continued to raise eyebrows on Wednesday. Morgan Stanley reported its earnings of 75 cents per share beating expectations of just 59 cents.
