EUR/USD stronger, through 1.1400

The shared currency is advancing further today, now pushing EUR/USD to fresh peaks beyond 1.1400 the figure.

EUR/USD boosted by risk, USD-weakness

The persistent risk-on sentiment keeps propping up the upside momentum in spot, now reclaiming the 1.1400 handle and above (or 6-week tops) and paving the way for a test of the key 1.1450 area (high May 11).

In the meantime, developments around the UK Referendum will remain the exclusive driver of the global sentiment ahead in the session and tomorrow, with latest poll results showing the ‘Stay’ vote up by 4 points (52% vs. 48%).

EUR/USD levels to watch

The pair is now advancing 0.92% at 1.1402 and a break above 1.1448 (high May 11) would target 1.1466 (high Apr.12) en route to 1.1617 (2016 high May 3). On the other hand, the immediate support aligns at 1.1302 (55-day sma) followed by 1.1262 (20-day sma) and finally 1.1191 (uptrend from 1.0820).
