BoE: Expect no fireworks - TDS
FXStreet – Research Team at TDS, suggests that the Bank of England’s MPC meets today, and the decision will be accompanied by their quarterly Inflation Report.
Key Quotes
“We expect no change to policy, and most likely a repeated 8-1 vote, but we can’t completely discount the chance of a dovish twist (9-0 or 1-7-1). Growth and inflation projections are likely to be revised lower for 2016, but should remain broadly similar in 2017 and 2018, which the market might interpret as hawkish. Rate cuts will almost certainly be brought up during the presser, but Carney is likely to push back on this.”
