USD/CAD hits three months highs

FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CAD is rising on Monday and recently reached at 1.2789, the highest level since March 19. The pair remains near the highs holding a bullish tone. So far the area below 1.2800 continues to offer strong resistance.

The pair is rinsing on the back of a rally of the US dollar across the board. Commodity currencies failed to benefit from risk appetite. In the US, stocks are rising more than 1%. Crude oil is falling modestly by 0.55%.

USD/CAD near 1.2800

After approaching again 1.2800 the pair lost strength and it was pulling back, trimming gains. Currently it trades at 1.2750/60, still up more than 50 pips for the day and it continues to be headed toward the highest close in four months.

The loonie is the worst performer among commodity currencies so far on Monday.
