Greek banks: closed for longer

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The Greek government will issue a new decree later today in order to extend the bank holiday for several more days.

In the meantime, the Greek banking system will remain vigilant on today’s ECB Council meeting regarding the ELA mechanism oriented to provide liquidity to the system.

FTSE weakens, Rolls Royce drops 6%

The London’s Ftse index edged lower on Monday, although it stays relatively resilient its European peers after the Greeks rejected the creditor’s offer at Sundays’ referendum.
