Grexit cannot be ruled out – BOE’s Cunliffe
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Bank of England (BOE) deputy governor via BBC radio said the Greek crisis is fluid, volatile and dangerous and Grexit cannot be ruled out.
Cunliffe said the ECB has more tools to deal with the contagion, while stating that the UK banks are stronger with lower Greek exposure, but the regulators have taken a note of spillover to the UK.
On UK economy
“Housing market remains a concern as the price rises outweigh incomes.”
“UK productivity is improving and expected it to pick up further.”
“Level of debt in UK at historical highs.”
