NZD/USD dips to weekly lows

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD fell to fresh weekly lows during the American session following stronger than expected US GDP and ADP data.

After being rejected from the 0.8000 area, NZD/USD turned lower and intensified the selloff after the US data, sliding to a low of 0.7930 in recent dealings. At time of writing, NZD/USD is trading at the 0.7940 zone, where it records a 0.5% loss on the day.

NZD/USD technical levels

In terms of technical levels, below 0.7930 immediate supports are seen at 0.7900 (psychological level) and 0.7890 (Jul 22 low), while resistances could be found at 0.7980 (10-day SMA) and 0.8000 (psychological level).

US: Chicago PMI rises less than expected in July

The US Chicago Purchasing Managers' Index grew to 52.3 in July from 51.6 in June, according to data released by the MNI Deutche Börse Group. Market consensus pointed to an increase to 54.
