US February New Home sales rose 7.8%

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the US Census Bureau News today, the New home sales in February rose 7.8% from the previous month’s figure of 4.4%.

The new single-family houses in February 2015 were sold at an annual rate of 539,000 in February to mark the best month of sales in seven years. The January rate was revised to 500,000, thereby by marking two consecutive monthly figures at or above 500,000 for the first time since early 2008.

The rise in new home sales in February contradicts the decline in the existing home sales and new construction last month.
