UK: NIESR GDP Estimate unchanged at 0.6% in June

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The NIESR GDP Estimate, released by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research on Tuesday, revealed that over the last 3 months up to the June report the UK economy grew by 0.6%, following also a 0.6% rise over the previous 3-month period.

IMF slashes global growth forecasts

According to the International Monetary Fund's updated World Economic Outlook released on Tuesday, global growth will be slower in 2013 than previously estimated. The April forecast pointed to a 3.3% increase, whereas currently it has been cut to 3.1%. In 2014 the global economy should expand by 3.8%, compared with the previous forecast of 4%.

AUD/USD finds resistance at 0.9200

The AUD/USD is among the best performers on Tuesday as it has managed to secure gains despite the broadly firmer USD.
