USD/CHF falls below 0.8700

FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CHF is falling for the second day in a row but still holds above the level it had at the beginning of the week. Earlier the pair climbed to 0.8771 but then turned to the downside and accelerated below 0.8700. Recently bottomed at 0.8630, hitting a 2-day low.

Currently trades at 0.8645, down 1.25% having the worst day since last Thursday, when the Swiss National Bank rocked markets by abandoning the EUR/CHF peg.

The Swiss franc is among the top performers on Wednesday in the forex market while the US dollar is flat against commodity currencies and slightly lower versus the euro.

EUR/CHF drops back below parity

Following a recovery phase, EUR/CHF resumed the slide and dropped briefly below parity on Wednesday.
