Forex Top movers: Euro is the leader, but losing steam; USD/RUB extends decline

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The Euro started the week with advances versus its major competitors, however it's losing steam as the unique currency "was weighted by rumors the ECB will be forced to implement some form of QE in the short term, as local economic conditions continue to deteriorate," as Valeria Bednarik commented.

The Euro is the top winner as it is posting 1.02% gains versus the NOK to 9.0684, 0.92% increase vs the SEK to 9.5324, and 0.43% against the Canadian Dollar to 1.4246.

Besides that, USD/NOK is 0.83% positive in the day to 7.4093, the USD/SEK rises 0.82% so far today to 7.7881.

To the downside, the USD/JPY declines 5.15% on the day to 55.824, the USDCZK is 0.30% down to 22.527 and the USDINR falls 0.28% to 63.066.

Other majors: USD/JPY advances 0.35% to 119.91, GBP/USD is 0.16% down to 1.5602.
