UK: Annual Retail Sales rise 2.7% in September

FXStreet (Łódź) - National Statistics informed on Thursday that year-over-year UK Retail Sales grew 2.7% in September, down a notch from the 3.7% increase in August and slightly below forecasts of +2.8%.

On a monthly basis Retail Sales slid 0.3%, after growing 0.4% in January and below expectations of falling 0.1%.

Annual Retail Sales excluding Fuel increased 3.1%, down from the 4.4% rise and below market consensus of 3.4% growth. Month-over-month Retail Sales excluding Fuel dropped 0.3%, following a 0.3% increase and below expectations of -0.2%.
